The Ferrocarril de Sóller and the Fundació Tren de l’Art are pleased to announce the unveiling of three new sculptures from the Dreamers series by Francesca Martí, acquired by the Ferrocarril de Sóller as permanent additions to its contemporary sculpture collection.
These bronze sculptures, polished and painted in red, blue and green, have been produced in 2016 by the José Luis Ponce Foundry in Madrid. They represent three life-sized travelers, seated and lost in their thoughts as they wait for the arrival of their trains: Alpha Virginis (red) at the Soller Central Station, and Alpha Tauri (blue) and Alpha Cani (green) at the tram terminus at the port.
The opening took place on Friday, May 6, at Sóller Central Station, attended by Jaume Servera – Mayor of Sóller, Óscar Mayol – President of the Ferrocarril de Sóller, Pere Serra – President of the Fundació Tren de l’Art, curator Pilar Ribal, and the artist Francesca Marti’.
