This large-scale retrospective of almost 100 mixed media works from the past 15 years will open in 2017, to coincide with the 4th Danube Biennale of Young Artists, which also takes place at the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum. Including vast installations, video projections, sculptures, paintings, photographs and drawings, TRANSFORMATION will trace Martì’s career through her series Fly, Soul, Tears, Scream, Dreamers and her most recent Nomads project, in which she uses such unexpected materials as recycled satellite dishes, souvernir figurines, recordings of invented languages, laptops, high gloss car paints and documentary imagery of refugees. TRANSFORMATION is a traveling international retrospective organized by the curatorial team of Pilar Ribal (ES) and Kees van Twist (NL), with Thomas Füllengraben (D), Vincent Polakovic (SL), Martina Polakovičová (SL) and Jonathan Turner (Aus/IT).
