To coincide with the 19th edition of Contemporary Istanbul, Turkey’s premier contemporary art fair, Francesca Martí has been invited to install a series of her large-scale sculptures in the city. Supported by Cristina Latorre Sancho, Spain’s Ambassador to Türkiye, this year’s guest country programme at Contemporary Istanbul is spotlighting Spain, Spanish-speaking nations and Latin America. During the days of the art fair (October 23-27) and until November 15, Francesca Martí’s three Dreamers – Antares, Alpha Virginis and Alpha Tauri in polished aluminium will be seen at the Peninsula Hotel, set along the Bosphorus waterfront in the historic district of Karaköy.
